Manitoba issued 308 immigration invitations with a focus on healthcare

In the April MPNP draw, healthcare workers received priority, and 105 candidates have an Express Entry profile.

On April 23, 2026, Manitoba held another immigration draw (#269) under the provincial program (MPNP). A total of 308 candidates received invitations to apply.

Skilled Workers in Manitoba: Healthcare Occupations

The majority of invitations—192—went to candidates in the Skilled Worker in Manitoba category through an occupation-specific selection. This round only considered candidates who declared current employment in Manitoba in the broad occupational category 3—healthcare occupations.

Candidates who applied through the International Education Stream (IES) were not considered in this draw.

Provincial Strategic Initiatives

Another 116 invitations went to skilled workers in Manitoba and overseas who applied through the province's strategic initiatives, as well as through the Temporary Public Policy (TPP) for work permit support. The invitations were distributed as follows:

  • Employer Services—61 invitations;
  • Francophone Community—15 invitations;
  • Ethnocultural Communities—14 invitations;
  • Regional Communities—14 invitations;
  • Temporary Public Policy (TPP)—12 invitations.

Express Entry Connection

Of all 308 invited candidates, 105 had an active profile in the federal Express Entry system, which gives them the opportunity for expedited processing of their immigration application.

Important Notes for Candidates

The province reminds that skilled worker applications are only considered if the candidate was directly invited by MPNP through a strategic initiative or through the Temporary Public Policy (TPP).

If you submitted a profile that meets the selection criteria but didn't receive an invitation, this may be because you indicated taking a language test but didn't provide a valid test number, or you indicated receiving an invitation from MPNP but didn't enter the correct invitation number. In this case, it's recommended to update your profile information to be considered in the next round.
