Ontario held a new draw under the provincial program
Invitations were sent to doctors, participants of the REDI initiative, and for the first time this year, master's and PhD graduates.
On March 18, 2026, the province of Ontario held a new series of immigration draws under the OINP program. Invitations were issued to candidates in the job offer streams, as well as Master's and PhD graduates.
A total of 1,243 invitations were issued. The draws covered several categories, including Employer Job Offer and, for the first time this year, streams for Master's and doctoral graduates.
Foreign Worker Stream
The foreign worker stream held two targeted draws.
- Physicians: 97 invitations, scores from 36;
- REDI initiative draw: 11 invitations, scores from 47.
The physicians draw targeted candidates with a job offer in the healthcare field. The REDI initiative draw focused on candidates residing in specific regions of Ontario and contributing to regional economic development.
International Student Stream
The international student stream held a REDI initiative draw.
- 17 invitations, minimum score — 61.
Invitations went to graduates of Canadian educational institutions with a job offer in priority regions of the province.
In-Demand Skills Stream
The In-Demand Skills stream also held a REDI initiative draw.
- 11 invitations, minimum score — 30.
This stream targets candidates with a job offer in in-demand occupations, particularly in regions participating in the REDI program.

Ontario separately held its first draws of 2026 for Master's and doctoral graduates.
- Masters Graduate stream: 582 invitations, scores from 30;
- PhD Graduate stream: 525 invitations, scores from 49.
These streams are for candidates who completed their studies in Ontario. Unlike the job offer streams, a job offer from an employer is not required here.
Who Can Apply
Only candidates who received an invitation on March 18, 2026, can apply. The application process includes two stages:
- the employer must submit an application for job approval through the Employer Portal within 14 calendar days (for job offer streams);
- the candidate must submit their own application and payment through the OINP e-Filing Portal within 17 calendar days.
Starting July 2, 2025, all job approval applications are submitted only through the Employer Portal. Only candidates whose employers have submitted an offer through the system and whose EOI profiles are registered will be considered.
The previous Employer Job Offer draw took place on February 2, 2026 and targeted healthcare workers, educators, and REDI initiative participants. The new round includes a broader range of categories, including Master's and PhD graduates.
