Canada conducted another selection of French-speaking candidates in Express Entry
The passing score dropped again, as did the number of invitations.
On March 18, 2026, Canada held a new category-based Express Entry draw targeting candidates with French language skills. In this round, 4,000 people received invitations to apply for permanent residence.
The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 393. For comparison, in the previous draw on March 4, 2026, the minimum score was 397, and 5,500 candidates received invitations. The cutoff score dropped by 4 points, while the number of invitations also decreased.

Despite fewer invitations being issued, the lower cutoff score makes this draw more accessible for candidates with strong French language skills. Canada continues to hold these rounds regularly, confirming the importance of French-speaking professionals in the country's immigration policy.
