New Ontario provincial draw in streams with a job offer

Invitations were sent to foreign workers, university graduates, and professionals in high-demand occupations.

On December 11, 2025, the province of Ontario held a new series of targeted immigration draws under the OINP program in the Employer Job Offer streams. Invitations were issued to foreign workers, graduates of Canadian universities, and in-demand professionals living in different regions of Ontario.

A total of 916 invitations were issued across the Foreign Worker, International Student, and In-Demand Skills streams. The draws were held separately for Eastern, Northern, Southwestern, and Central Ontario (excluding the GTA region).

Foreign Worker Stream

Regional targeted draws took place in the Foreign Worker stream. Candidates with job offers in priority economic sectors were considered.

Number of invitations and minimum scores:

  • Eastern Ontario: 89 invitations, scores from 54;
  • Northern Ontario: 29 invitations, scores from 51;
  • Southwestern Ontario: 103 invitations, scores from 51;
  • Central Ontario (excluding GTA): 84 invitations, scores from 49.

Occupations included managers, specialists in finance, administration, healthcare, logistics, construction, IT, as well as engineering and technical professionals.

International Student Stream

The International Student stream also held separate draws by Ontario region. Invitations were issued to candidates who completed their studies in Canada and have a job offer in an in-demand field.

The results are as follows:

  • Eastern Ontario: 93 invitations, scores from 77;
  • Northern Ontario: 39 invitations, scores from 77;
  • Southwestern Ontario: 136 invitations, scores from 73;
  • Central Ontario (excluding GTA): 105 invitations, scores from 71.

In-demand fields included management, finance, accounting, administrative support, healthcare, engineering, IT, construction, and technical services.

In-Demand Skills Stream

In the In-Demand Skills stream, separate regional draws were conducted for workers in lower-wage but economically essential occupations.

  • Eastern Ontario: 123 invitations, scores from 30;
  • Central Ontario (excluding GTA): 115 invitations, scores from 30.

Main occupations included care workers, warehouse and manufacturing employees, equipment operators, technical staff, agricultural workers, and service industry workers.

Who Can Apply

Only candidates who received an invitation on December 11, 2025, can apply. The application process includes two steps:

  • The employer must submit an application for job approval through the Employer Portal by January 6, 2026;
  • The candidate must submit their own application through the OINP e-Filing Portal by January 9, 2026.
As of July 2, 2025, job approvals are processed only through the Employer Portal. Only candidates whose employers submitted an offer through the system and whose EOI profiles are successfully registered will be considered.

The previous OINP draw took place on December 10, 2025 and was also aimed at supporting workers in in-demand fields.
