Manitoba invited new candidates in a new immigration selection

Most candidates received invitations through the employer service.

On November 21, Manitoba held another immigration draw under the provincial MPNP program through the Skilled Worker Stream. This time, 35 candidates received invitations to apply for permanent residence.

The province reviewed profiles submitted under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas pathways, where applicants indicated they were directly invited by the province through strategic initiatives. Invitations were distributed among the following categories:

  • Employer Services — 18 invitations;
  • Francophone Community — 8 invitations;
  • Regional Communities — 8 invitations;
  • Temporary Public Policy for simplified work permit issuance to potential provincial program participants (TPP) — 1 invitation.

Of all those invited, 5 people indicated a valid profile in the federal Express Entry system and a job seeker validation code, which gives them the right to expedited processing of their immigration application.

In recent rounds, Manitoba has been conducting targeted draws where candidates are selected based on specific categories and strategic initiatives, so a single cutoff score under the Expression of Interest system is not published.

Manitoba's previous draw took place on November 6, when 47 candidates received invitations, with most invitations going to Francophone and regional communities. In this new round, the number of invitations decreased slightly, but the province continued issuing invitations through the same strategic initiatives.

Keep track of Manitoba's draw history so you don't miss future rounds and your immigration opportunities.
