A new round for candidates with a provincial nomination took place in the Express Entry system
The passing score in the new draw dropped significantly, and the number of invited candidates increased.
On November 25, 2025, the Canadian government held a new Express Entry draw for candidates with a provincial nomination. This time, 777 people received invitations to apply for permanent residence.
The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 699. For comparison, in the previous draw on November 10, the minimum score was 738, and 714 candidates received invitations. So the passing score dropped significantly, while the number of invitations increased.
This is almost the lowest passing score for provincial nominee draws this year, with only March 2025 showing a lower result.
Candidates who receive a provincial nomination automatically get an additional 600 CRS points. This means that in this draw, you only needed to score 99 points from the basic factors: age, education, English or French language skills, work experience, and adaptability in Canada.

How provincial immigration programs work
Each Canadian province sets its own selection criteria based on the region's economic and demographic needs. To get a nomination, you typically need to:
- qualify for one of the federal immigration programs;
- create a profile in the Express Entry system;
- receive a provincial nomination, which adds 600 CRS points and significantly increases your chances of receiving an invitation.
