Canada conducted a new selection of immigrants through the Express Entry system
A thousand experienced candidates from within the country were invited to become permanent residents.
On September 3, Canada conducted a new Express Entry draw, inviting candidates with Canadian work experience. This is the ninth Canadian Experience Class draw in 2025.
This time, 1,000 candidates received invitations to apply for permanent residence. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 534. This result is identical to the previous draw on August 7, which also issued 1,000 invitations with the same threshold. These consistent figures may indicate that current selection conditions and high competition among candidates are being maintained.

How does the Express Entry system work?
Express Entry is an online platform through which Canada selects candidates for permanent residence under three federal programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program for qualified professionals;
- Canadian Experience Class for those who have already worked in Canada;
- Federal Skilled Trades Program for skilled trades workers.
CRS points are awarded for various factors: age, education, proficiency in English or French, professional and Canadian experience, marital status, and adaptability.
