Canada conducted the long-awaited selection for French-speaking candidates

Canada's new Express Entry draw for French-speaking candidates offers a simplified pathway for immigration, providing an easier opportunity to move to Canada.

On August 8, 2025, Canada conducted a targeted Express Entry draw for French-speaking candidates. In this round, 2,500 invitations to apply for permanent residence were issued, confirming the ongoing interest in French-speaking professionals.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 481. Compared to spring results, the requirements have increased, so it's important for candidates to carefully assess their chances and strengthen their profile if necessary.

In the previous draw for Francophones on March 21, 2025, 7,500 invitations were issued with a cut-off score of just 379. The current round showed an increase in the cut-off score and fewer invitations, which may reflect quota adjustments and increased competition.
