Canada once again invites candidates with Canadian experience through Express Entry
The selection became the second major draw in a row for candidates who had already worked in Canada.
On June 26, Canada held another Express Entry draw, inviting candidates with work experience in the country. This is the third round for this category in the past month and a half.
In this draw, 3,000 people received invitations to apply for permanent residence. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 521 — slightly lower than in the previous similar draw, which may indicate increased access for candidates.

How does the Express Entry system work?
Express Entry is an online platform through which Canada selects candidates for permanent residence under three federal programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program — for skilled professionals;
- Canadian Experience Class — for those who have already worked in Canada;
- Federal Skilled Trades Program — for skilled trades workers.
CRS points are awarded for several factors: age, education level, English or French language proficiency, professional and Canadian experience, marital status, and adaptability.
The previous Canadian Experience Class draw took place on June 12. At that time, 3,000 invitations were also issued, but the minimum passing score was 529. The lower score in the new round may be related to the government's desire to expand the path to permanent residence for temporary workers already in the country.
