New immigration selection on Prince Edward Island
Invitations have been sent to candidates from in-demand economic sectors and high-ranking entrepreneurs.
On June 19, the province of Prince Edward Island held its latest immigration draw under its provincial program PEI PNP. As a result, 52 invitations were sent to potential immigrants.
51 invitations were issued to candidates in demand in the labor market. The following categories of applicants participated in the selection:
- candidates registered in the Express Entry system;
- applicants currently in the province and working in priority economic sectors, including:
According to the authorities, invitations were received by candidates working in key sectors that have a significant impact on the region's economy. This aligns with the province's strategy to attract and retain skilled workers, especially in areas with severe labor shortages.
Additionally, 1 invitation was issued to a candidate in the entrepreneurial stream. To receive an invitation, the candidate had to score a minimum of 150 points in the business candidate evaluation system, which is a fairly high result.
The previous selection round took place on May 15 — 167 invitations were sent then, and the entrepreneurial stream did not participate.
Keep an eye on updates on the draws in the province to not miss new immigration opportunities!
