Prince Edward Island conducted a new selection in priority sectors
The province continues to select professionals whose skills are in demand in the local job market.
On May 15, 2025, the province of Prince Edward Island conducted a new round of immigration selection under its provincial program PEI PNP. A total of 167 invitations were sent to candidates working in priority economic sectors.
Invitations were issued to candidates whose professions are of significant importance to the province's economy. Provincial authorities emphasized that the selection was based on the economic contribution of these professions to the region's development. Priority sectors include healthcare, childcare, technical and construction specialties, and other areas with labor shortages.
The immigration selections involve candidates from the following streams:
- Candidates registered in the Express Entry system;
- Candidates in demand in the labor market;
The business stream did not participate in this selection — no invitations were issued for the business category.
The previous selection took place on April 18 — 168 invitations were issued then, with priority given to candidates who have been living and working on the island for more than a year, as well as graduates from local universities.
