Manitoba conducted a new selection for foreign specialists
The passing score has been lowered, opening the door for new candidates.
On May 15, 2025, the province of Manitoba held a new selection round for skilled workers overseas under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
Invitations to apply for permanent residence were sent to 62 candidates selected through a strategic recruitment initiative. This means they received direct invitations from the province based on their alignment with its economic needs.
The minimum score in Manitoba's assessment system was 626 points. Among those invited, 8 candidates were registered in the federal Express Entry system, which gives them the opportunity for faster processing of their permanent residence application.
Compared to the previous round on May 1, the minimum score has notably decreased. This could indicate a broadening of selection criteria or a change in the profiles of invited candidates.
Manitoba continues to actively attract professionals who can contribute to the province's economic growth, focusing on targeted selections.
