New Express Entry draw: competition among candidates with Canadian experience is increasing

After a three-month pause, Canada has resumed selections for the Canadian Experience Class immigration program.
On May 13, Canada held a new Express Entry draw, targeting candidates with Canadian work experience. This draw followed immediately after the previous round for provincial nominees, which took place on May 12.
This time, 500 people received invitations to apply for permanent residence. The minimum passing score in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) was 547. This is higher than in the previous draw for this category, which may indicate increasing competition among candidates with Canadian experience.

How does the Express Entry system work?
Express Entry is an electronic system for selecting immigration candidates under three federal programs:
CRS points are awarded for age, education, English or French language proficiency, work experience (including Canadian), marital status, and other factors that affect successful adaptation in the country.
The previous draw for this category was held on February 5, and more invitations were issued then, which may indicate a possible adjustment in quotas or selection strategy.
