The new Express Entry draw lowered the passing score for provincial nominees

Canada invited 421 candidates for permanent residency, with the minimum score required dropping to 727 points.

On April 28, a new Express Entry draw took place, targeting candidates with provincial nominations. As a result, 421 individuals received invitations to apply for permanent residence.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for this draw was 727, which is lower than the previous similar draw. This may indicate a slight decrease in competition among provincial nominees.

It's worth noting that candidates with provincial nominations automatically receive an additional 600 points, meaning they only need to score 127 points in other assessment criteria, including age, education, work experience, language proficiency in English or French, and adaptability to life in Canada.
