Manitoba lowered the passing score in the new selection for foreign specialists
The province continues to strategically select candidates who align with its priorities.
On April 17, the province of Manitoba held its latest immigration draw under its Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
In this round, 27 candidates registered in the "Skilled Workers Overseas" category received invitations. All of them were directly invited by the province as part of a strategic initiative to recruit specialists.
The minimum passing score in Manitoba's assessment system was 621, which is significantly lower compared to previous draws.
Among those invited, 3 candidates were registered in the federal Express Entry system, giving them an expedited process for their permanent residency application in Canada.
In the previous draw, held on April 3, only 4 candidates received invitations, and the minimum passing score was much higher at 721. The lower passing score in this new round may indicate an increase in selection activity and a wider range of potential immigrants.
