The company plans to hire 3,500 people.

Based in Vancouver, Lululemon is a sportswear company that has an active network of more than 600 stores around the world and 29,000 employees worldwide.

On February 28, the federal and provincial governments of Canada and British Columbia recognized Lululemon as an important investment project that makes a significant contribution to workforce development. So does Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada.

The organization already has an investment project that involves expanding it and providing 3,500 full-time jobs throughout British Columbia.

The status of an important investment project allows the company to hire highly qualified people without having to apply for the LMIA.

LMIA is a labour market impact assessment. Canadian employers are required to obtain it as proof that there is no suitable candidate for the position among Canadian citizens and residents. Thus, not having to obtain an LMIA makes it much easier for a company to hire workers from abroad.

Those wishing to immigrate to Canada can obtain a work permit by taking a job in a similar investment project. Lululemon's job vacancies can be viewed on the official website.
