Canada is the most popular destination for relocation

It beat Japan and Spain in the new poll.

Australian company Compare the market conducted a study that found that Canada is the most popular destination for those who want to move. Data from Google searches for each country with the keywords "relocation" and "real estate" were analyzed.

The results showed that, beating Japan and Spain by a wide margin, Canada became a dream country for residents of 50 other countries around the world. Its victory was attributed to its hospitality for visitors, decent quality of life and education, and economic freedom of its citizens.

For Canadians themselves (as well as the French, Brazilians, and Australians), Japan was the most desirable country to move to. This is due to its high life expectancy, and its leadership in industries such as electronics and robotics.

The countries least likely to want to move are Germany, Sweden, the Philippines, Thailand, Egypt, and Myanmar. And not a single country named the U.S. the best place to live.
