A new university is opened in Canada
It is located in a popular tourist city.
The city of Niagara Falls in the province of Ontario is one of the main tourist attractions in Canada. Now the city is ready to welcome not only tourists but also students. This week, the Ontario government approved a new educational institution, the University of Niagara Falls.
The university is expected to help develop the region's economy and provide qualified personnel for businesses. The study programs are developed in collaboration with business leaders and take into account the needs of the local labour market.
The University of offers Niagara Falls two bachelor programs and three master programs:
- science — biomedical sciences (bachelor);
- business administration — digital economy and digital marketing (bachelor);
- data analytics — marketing analytics and operations analytics (master);
- management — emerging technology and entrepreneurship (master);
- arts — digital media and global communications (master).
There will be more academic programs in the future.
The university will place special emphasis on modern technology. The programs should prepare students to work in the digital world. They will also be offered three learning options: face-to-face, online, and hybrid. The university will open its doors to students in 2024.
