Immigration to Prince Edward Island for workers with intermediate experience

Professionals who have found work in the province in an intermediate skilled occupation can immigrate through the Intermediate Experience stream.

The Intermediate Experience stream of the Prince Edward Island provincial program allows those professionals who have worked in Canada and found an employer in the province to obtain a permanent residency.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the Intermediate Experience stream, you must meet the following requirements:

  • be between the ages of 18 and 59;
  • have at least a high school education;
  • have 2 years of work experience within the last 5 years;
  • have worked for 6 months in Canada;
  • get a job offer in Prince Edward Island in a NOC skills level C occupation (medium-skilled occupations);
  • demonstrate proficiency in English or French at level 4 on the CLB scale (basic level);
  • be able to support yourself and your family members.

Candidate evaluation

Prince Edward Island uses the provincial Expression of Interest system to assess immigration candidates. It awards up to 100 points for age, education, language skills, work experience, employment, and adaptability. Points are awarded as follows:
