British Columbia invited entrepreneurs

In a new draw, they chose those who want to do business in the province.

On November 8, British Columbia held two draws under the provincial immigration program. This time, the province selected entrepreneurs who want to buy or start a business in the region.

8 invitations went to Base Category Entrepreneurs who scored a minimum of 120 points. They must have experience managing a business, have a net worth of at least $600,000 CAD, and be willing to invest $200,000 CAD or more in the company.

British Columbia sent fewer than 5 more invitations to Regional Pilot Entrepreneurs who scored 114 points or more. The Regional Pilot is for those who want to run a business in small towns. Candidates must have experience managing a business, have a net worth of at least $300,000 CAD, and be willing to invest $100,000 CAD or more.

The previous draw for businesspersons was held on October 4, and it was only for entrepreneurs of the Base Category. The passing score was 4 points lower.

British Columbia now does not hold draws for other candidates because of the transition to the new NOC occupational classification. Starting November 16, the province will resume draws for professionals and graduates of Canadian universities.

Keep an eye on British Columbia's draw history so you do not miss your chance to be invited.
